A GEM IS LOST

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN received with disbelief and heavy heart, the sad news of the demise of Alhaji Khaleel Fawehinmi, Chairman, Ondo state Mulsim Welfare Board and Co-Chairman religious Thanksgiving sub -Committee of his 2nd term inauguration. He died yesterday in the United States of America after a brief Illness.

His death is no doubt a huge loss to the family and to Ondo State Government which he served diligently and meritoriously until the bell sounded.

Khaleel Fawhinmi was not just the Seriki Adinni Musulumi of Ondo State, he was a good human being and a great patriot who dedicated totally his life and times to the best service of his community and our state as a whole.

Governor Akeredolu particularly views this death as a personal loss of a completely loyal and reliable friend of over 25 years, It is the loss of the warmth of a true brother and supporter whose devotion and commitment to Akeredolu’s personal and public aspirations was first class and total.

Seriki’s death, coming not long after the demise of his illustrious wife, no doubt bears a huge burden of grief on the immediate family.

Governor Akeredolu, on behalf of the Government and people of Ondo state therefore commiserates with the immediate family, Ondo community and the entire muslim community in the state. He prays Almighty Allah forgives the deceased of all his trespasses and grant him Aljannah Fidau.

Ondo APC Mourns The Demise Of Alhaji Khaleel Fawehinmi.

We received with heavy heart the demise of Alhaji Khaleel Fawehinmi, Chairman, Ondo State Mulsim Welfare Board, who died on Friday, 12th December, 2020, in the United States of America.

Alhaji Fawehinmi was a dedicated and vibrant personality who became a bridge between the government and the Muslim community in the state, a helping hand to break barriers in providing a voice and representation for the faithful.

Many persons knew Alhaji Fawehinmi for his great contributions to the Ondo state Mulsim Welfare Board, as well, for his strong devotion to the religion of Islam before his demise.

While we mourn his loss, we hope that Alhaji Khaleel Fawehinmi’s legacy will serve as an inspiration and beacon of hope to his fellow colleagues and his community.

His image and touches will not be forgotten for many years in the arena of religion, particularly, as it concerns the technicality of pilgrimage.

The APC Chairman in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, who was in a sad mood, said that Alhaji Khaleel was committed, compassionate, empathetic, very brilliant, witty and understanding. “He allowed us, all, to understand the relevant stuff in religion a little better”.

“Alhaji Khaleel Fawehinmi was a good man, widely admired in the party. Our utmost sympathies go to his family and friends as he will be much missed”

This is such a big loss to the Muslim community, Ondo Kingdom and the state at large. May his legacy of important humanitarian work continue to inspire others.

May he rest in peace and may God give his family the strength to bear the loss at this difficult time.
