The PBAT Elders Forum in Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo State has endorsed the decision of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as final and binding on all party members.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, a former Chairman of Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government and former member of the OSOPADEC Board, Akin Akinbolarin, popularly known as Kole Gangan, said the elders remain committed to the supremacy of the party and urged members to close ranks in the interest of unity and progress.
He commended the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for what he described as his principled stance and commitment to ensuring that justice prevailed throughout the process.
Akinbolarin reaffirmed the determination of the APC leadership in the local government area to mobilise massive support for President and the party in future elections, expressing confidence that the APC would emerge stronger through unity and collective resolve.
Also speaking, a former Local Government Youth Leader and the Acting APC State Youth Leader said efforts were underway to strengthen party structures and consolidate internal cohesion across the local government.
He noted that all necessary mechanisms were being put in place to foster reconciliation, promote inclusiveness and ensure that members worked together towards the continued success of the APC.
