Ondo 2020: NOA cautions people against votes trading

As preparations for October 10 election in ondo state reach top level, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has cautioned supporters of governorship candidates and voters to follow COVID-19 precautionary protocols.

The agency noted that use of nose masks and maintaining physical distancing at rallies and during voting in the election will prevent further spread of the disease in the country.

NOA also tasked the electorate to be civil while exercising their civic responsibilities from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm on election day.

In a message by the Director overseeing National Orientation Agency (NOA), Ondo state office, Mrs Olawumi Famuyiwa also warmed the people of the state to shun actions capable of causing violence or election malpractices before, during and after governorship election.

The message Also reminded the people that coronavirus is still rampaging thereby they should adhere strictly with all the codes of conduct laid down by the electoral umpire to contain and combat the virus which include wearing of nose mask properly, washing of hands with soap under running water as well as using of hand sanitizers often and ensuring of physical distancing during election campaign and the point of casting vote.

The NOA boss challenged voters not to trade their votes and allow their votes to count.
