A wave of excitement filled the headquarters of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) in Abuja on Friday as staff of the Department of Media and Corporate Communications staged a surprise birthday celebration for their Director, Dr. Felix Babatunde Ale, in a colourful event marked by emotion, tributes and rare camaraderie within the agency.
What initially appeared to be an ordinary workday quickly turned into a festive gathering as colleagues, in a carefully planned “palace coup”-style surprise, caught the celebrant unaware and transformed the office environment into a lively scene of music, laughter and heartfelt exchanges.
The celebration attracted top management of the agency, including the Director General and Chief Executive, Dr. Matthew Adepoju, who attended with senior aides and other directors, underscoring the esteem in which Dr. Ale is held within NASRDA.
In his remarks, Dr. Adepoju described the celebrant as a dependable professional and a key contributor to the agency’s communication reforms and institutional growth. He prayed for continued strength, good health and greater accomplishments in his service to the nation.
Other directors also paid glowing tributes, describing Dr. Ale as a selfless leader and a strong pillar within the system, fondly referring to him as the “Senior Advocate of NASRDA staff” for his consistent support for colleagues, particularly in challenging times.
They prayed for divine favour, longevity and further professional elevation for him in the years ahead.
