Gallery Security Services Limited has rescued a kidnapped trader and arrested two suspected kidnappers in a coordinated operation in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The victim, Mrs. Morenike Falona, 37, a trader and resident of Ode-Irele in Ondo State, was abducted at about 10:00 p.m. on June 16, 2026, along Orelopo Street, off Ebute Road in Irele town.
According to the security firm, the operation was launched following credible intelligence, leading to the deployment of a 20-man rescue team. After an intensive search, operatives successfully located and rescued the victim on June 19, 2026, at about 6:30 p.m. in a palm plantation at Iju-Osun community, also in Irele LGA. She was reportedly rescued unharmed.
During the operation, two suspects were arrested and identified as Obibodefiyie Ajuesie, 36, from Ajapa community in Ese-Odo Local Government Area, and Monday Lucky, popularly known as “Gazilo,” 37, from Akpata community in the same LGA.
The suspects, the victim, and all case files were later handed over on June 20, 2026, to the Nigeria Police Force at the Ajagba Police Station in Irele LGA for onward transfer to the Okitipupa Area Command for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The handover was conducted by Navy Lieutenant Zakari Abdullahi (retd.), Security Manager of Gallery Security Services, who reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting conventional security agencies in safeguarding lives and property across the state.
Speaking on the operation, the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube, commended residents for providing timely intelligence that aided the rescue mission.
He urged communities across Ondo South Senatorial District to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly to security authorities.
Ajube also issued a warning to criminal elements operating in the region, stating that the company, in collaboration with security agencies and local communities, would continue to intensify efforts to track and apprehend offenders.
He noted that although the company’s primary operations are focused on riverine communities in Ese-Odo Local Government Area, its personnel were mobilized beyond its usual operational area due to the urgency of the situation.
According to him, the success of the operation reflects the firm’s strong local intelligence network and its experience in coordinated security responses across parts of the Niger Delta region.
