Akure, April 9, 2025 — The Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the immediate dissolution of the management board of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA).
With the dissolution, the Executive Chairman, Mr. Dele Ologun, along with other board members, has been relieved of their duties. They have been directed to hand over all government property in their custody to the agency’s accounting officer.
In a move aimed at revitalizing the state’s football structure, the Governor has constituted a caretaker committee to oversee the affairs of Sunshine Stars Football Club. The committee will be led by Mr. Tokunbo Akinyelure, who will serve as Team Manager and Welfare Officer.

The caretaker committee is to report directly to the Office of the State Governor.
Governor Aiyedatiwa charged the new team with the responsibility of repositioning the club and working towards improving the fortunes of Sunshine Stars.
