Reconstruction of the burnt Ondo state Secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, located at Alagbaka Akure has commenced as promised by a chieftain of the Party and former governorship aspirant, Mr Godday Erewa.
The secretariat was set ablaze by unknown hoodlum during the violence that accompanied the recent #EndSars protest.
To this end, the leadership of the party yesterday performed the foundation laying of the new Secretariat.
Erewa said his aim of solely shouldering the reconstruction of the burnt party secretariat is to further unite the party in the state.
The business mogul said that rebuilding the party secretariat would enhance an efficient secretariat duties, coordination of members and preparations for further political activities.
Erewa announced that the structure would be inaugurated before the end of December, this year.
In a remark, the Chairman of the Party , Hon Fatai Adams thanked Erewa for the gesture describing the reconstruction of the party secretariat by Erewa as a new dawn which would ignite patriotism among party faithful.
Those who graced the foundation laying ceremony included the party’s governorship candidate, Mr Eyitayo Jegede, former state Deputy Governor and Nigerian Ambassador to Uganda , Otunba Omolade Oluwateru among others.
