Dep Gov: Tension as Ondo Assembly blocks anti-impeachment lawmakers

There was a tension today Some lawmakers who purportedly against the impeachment of the ondo state Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi have been allegedly blocked from attending the state House of Assembly plenary sitting today; SUNSHINETRUTH has reported.

Particularly, two PDP lawmakers, Festus Akingbaso from Idanre constituency and Rasheed Elegbeleye (Minority leader) were prevented from gaining entrance into the Assembly complex.

According to the deputy-minority Leader and Member representing Ondo West constituency 1, Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Leonard Tomide Akinribido, on Thursday afternoon, Members of the house who opposed the impeachment of deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, were prevented from entering the house of assembly to attend plenary.

Tomide in a statement via Twitter disclosed that the security officers at the gate of the assembly complex claimed that they were under strict instructions to deny all anti-impeachment lawmakers access.

The house has proceeded on five weeks recess.
