***Says Claims that Tinubu is Working Against the Governor’s Re-election are False

Popular socialite and political mobiliser, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has expressed support for Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

Cubana Chief Priest, who serves as the Imo State Director of the City Boy Movement, a pro-Tinubu political support group, made his position known in a post on his official X handle, @Cpnosmall. Reports in February 2026 said he was appointed to the position shortly after joining the movement.

In the post, he urged Osun voters to support Adeleke and protect their votes, describing the governor as a “superstar governor.”

He also dismissed claims that President Bola Tinubu was opposed to Adeleke’s re-election, describing such claims as a “big lie.”

“Don’t let anyone tamper with your happiness. Make una no mind them oh them say Baba want Osun, that’s a big lie. Baba no dey drag Osun with anybody. Just vote and protect your vote to re-elect your superstar governor,” he wrote.

His endorsement is notable given his current role in the City Boy Movement, which is led by Seyi Tinubu and is mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Cubana Chief Priest has also publicly participated in activities supporting the President’s re-election bid.

The development comes amid heightened political activities ahead of the August 15 Osun governorship election, with the major political parties intensifying their campaigns and mobilisation across the state.
