The Chairman of Irekari Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Prince Adekunle Dennis, has congratulated Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his 61st birthday, describing the governor as a leader of integrity, humility and uncommon commitment to grassroots development.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the people of Irekari LCDA, Dennis said the governor’s birthday coincides with renewed hope for residents of the area, following the state government’s decision to revive the Oba-Ikun-Afo-Idoani and adjoining 5km road project within Idogun community.
According to him, the announcement of the project has generated widespread excitement across the communities, with residents turning out in large numbers to receive the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, who led a high-level technical team on an on-the-spot assessment of the dilapidated roads.
Addressing the crowd at Idogun during the inspection, Olawoye explained that the working visit was carried out on the directive of Governor Aiyedatiwa as part of deliberate efforts to improve rural road infrastructure and other critical social amenities across Ondo State.
The commissioner reiterated that the governor is irrevocably committed to easing the movement of goods and services at the grassroots, with the aim of stimulating rural trade and commerce, assuring the people that construction work would commence in earnest.
Expressing confidence in the administration, Dennis said he had no doubt about the governor’s resolve to complete the projects within record time, describing Aiyedatiwa as a man of his word who does not make promises he cannot fulfil.
He also commended the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, for his passion and consistent advocacy for the development of Irekari LCDA and Ondo State at large.
The Irekari LCDA chairman urged residents to remain patient and continue to support the present administration, expressing optimism that the communities would soon gather to commission the road projects and other social amenities under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership.
Prince Dennis prayed for God’s continued blessings on the governor, wishing him good health, wisdom and strength to keep serving Ondo State and its people with dedication.
