SSG Urges Akure South Residents to Turn Out for Aiyedatiwa’s Thank-You Tour
The Secretary to the Ondo State Government (SSG), Dr Taiwo Fasoranti, has urged residents of Akure South Local Government Area to turn out in large numbers to welcome Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the council area hosts the ongoing Thank-You Tour of the governor.
In a statement issued on Monday, Dr Fasoranti said the presence and support of residents, community leaders and party faithful would serve as an acknowledgement of the developmental strides recorded under the present administration.
He disclosed that Governor Aiyedatiwa and his entourage are scheduled to meet with the people of Akure South Local Government Area on Tuesday, December 23, at the NEPA Car Park, Arakale, in Akure, the state capital.
The SSG noted that the governor’s infrastructural interventions across the state have demonstrated administrative competence and rekindled public confidence in democratic governance.
Dr Fasoranti, an Akure-born philanthropist and renowned medical practitioner, highlighted the Ijoka Road project, describing it as a development that would significantly enhance socio-economic activities in the state capital while providing a new orientation for residents.
He also commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for the progress recorded on the Onyearugbulem Flyover, which he said would ease transportation challenges and ensure smoother traffic flow for commuters and other road users in the area.
According to him, the Oda Road project has stimulated economic growth in the fast-growing community, adding value to residents and improving connectivity within the local government area.
The SSG further stated that the remodelling of the Alagbaka area, alongside ongoing urban renewal initiatives in Akure, would attract increased investment as well as national and international events to the state.
Dr Fasoranti therefore called on residents of Akure South and neighbouring communities to come out en masse to receive the governor and show appreciation for what he described as the administration’s giant strides in infrastructure and governance.
