Super Eagles escaped with 4-4 draw in Sierra Leone’s historic fightback

The Leone Stars of Sierra Leone staged a remarkable comeback to draw 4-4 with the Super Eagles in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin Edo state.

Super Eagles,three-time African Champions got on the score sheet before allowing the visitors equalized the goals.

The Eagles scored four-goal before the first half through a brace from Alex Iwobi and strikes from Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze.

The hard fighting visitors however equalized and picked a valuable point ahead of the second leg in Freetown next week.

Meanwhile It was disappointment galore at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City as angry soccer fans boed Super Eagles of Nigeria players after they drew Sierra Leone 4-4.

Nigerians inside the arena were disappointed by the result. They booed the players and officials as their bus moved out of the arena.

They also called for the immediate sack of the Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr.
