In his bid to ensuring a safety and virus free academic environment for the students and members of staffs of the Rufus Giwa polytechnic Owo, Ondo State.
The lawmaker representing Owo Constituency one at the Ondo State House of Assembly Hon Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi (West) sponsored the fumigation project of the academic community.
The fumigation process which presided over by an indigenous and professional company was carried out on Saturday 17th of Oct 2020 right from the entrance and to all nooks and crannies of the institution as the academic business is set to resume after a long break imposed by the outbreak of covid-19.
According to the lawmaker, the school as a community has witnessed a setback in the areas of revenue for the past seven months and above, because it’s not possible to false students who are on break to come and pay school fees
And it’s imperative to clean and disinfect the environment before the pupils come around,this is what I see as a burden on an institution that has not been making income for a while.
Then I have to set it as a task for myself solely to reduce the buden of the management because it’s a capital project and ensuring the safety of our people.
As a matter of fact, as a representative of the people, the safety and general wellbeing of our is a debt we owe, we will continue put in place measures that will accertained maximum safety of lives in our community as a whole.
Hon Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi also advised the school management to ensure that all students and staffs of the institution adhere strictly to all precautionaries of covid-19 even as he wish the students a happy resumption.
