The Iralepo of Isinkan Kingdom, Oba Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula (Arulewolasi III), has been honoured with the Distinguished Father’s Award by St. Thomas’ Anglican Church, Isinkan, in recognition of his outstanding leadership, unwavering commitment to community development, and dedicated service to God and humanity.
The award was presented during the church’s 2026 Father’s Day Thanksgiving and Distinguished Father’s Award ceremony held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, under the Diocese of Akure, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion).
The event attracted clerics, traditional rulers, community leaders, church members, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate fathers and recognize men whose lives and contributions have positively impacted society.
Speaking at the ceremony, Venerable Thompson Olu Akinboro described the monarch as an exemplary father and visionary leader whose reign has been characterized by peace, progress, and a strong commitment to the welfare of his people.Â
He noted that his support for community development, promotion of cultural values, and dedication to religious and social causes made him a worthy recipient of the award.
According to Venerable Thompson Olu Akinboro, the Distinguished Father’s Award is reserved for men who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, faithfulness, integrity and selfless service in their various fields of endeavour.
Receiving the award, Oba Olofin-Adimula expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of St. Thomas’ Anglican Church for the recognition, describing it as an encouragement to continue serving God, his kingdom and humanity with greater dedication.
The monarch dedicated the honour to the people of Isinkan Kingdom and urged fathers to continue playing their vital roles in raising responsible children and promoting moral values within their families and communities.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the ceremony, the monarch said the recognition underscored the importance of responsible fatherhood and selfless service to society.
He noted that fathers occupy a strategic position in shaping the future of families and communities, stressing that many societal challenges could be addressed through proper parenting and the restoration of moral values.
The royal father urged fathers to remain committed to their responsibilities as role models, providers, and protectors of their families.
He also called on religious institutions, traditional rulers and government at all levels to work together in promoting peace, discipline, and youth development.
“This award is not just for me; it belongs to the entire people of Isinkan Kingdom whose support and cooperation have made our achievements possible. It is also a reminder that leadership is about service, sacrifice and commitment to the welfare of the people,” the monarch said.
The Father’s Day celebration featured special thanksgiving services, prayers for fathers, goodwill messages, and the presentation of awards to individuals whose lives exemplify the virtues of responsible fatherhood, faithfulness, and community service.
Other distinguished personalities honoured at the event included the Bishop of Akure Diocese and Archbishop of Ondo Ecclesiastical Province, Most Revd. Simeon Oluwole Borokini; Prince Felix Omoniyi Monilari; Chief Zaccheaus Abiodun Ogunyemi (JP); and Prince Dayo Omotoyinbo.
The recognition of the awardees underscored the church’s commitment to celebrating and encouraging men who continue to make significant contributions to the growth of the church, the development of society and the advancement of family values.
