Word Care International Ministry Gives Scholarships to Brilliant Students in Osun

The joy of brilliant but indigent students of Modakeke in Ile-Ife, Osun State knew no bounds on Wednesday as they became proud recipients of the 2021 world care international ministry scholarships.


The students who were selected from senior secondary school one (SSS 1) and senior secondary school two (SSS 2) were chosen based on performance in their academics in their various schools.


The event which was held at the palace of Ogunsua of Modakeke, Oba Oladejo Oyediran had in attendence the traditional ruler, council of chiefs, religious leaders, principals of benefiting schools, parents among others.


From senior secondary school (sss1) category, the benefiting students are:

1. Isarinde Ayomide – from Ogunsua Grammar School

2. Oladapo Taiwo  – from Community Grammar  school

3. Oni Taiwo  – from St, stephen’s Grammar School 

4. Idowu Aanu -from St. Francis Grammar School 

5. Morakinyo Tayo -from Muslim high school

While those from senior secondary school  two (SSS 2) Include:

1. Olaniyi Christianah – Our lady’s of Girls’ High school

2. Ojo Michael – Modakeke High School

3. Rasa Aisha – Modakeke Islamic Grammar School

4. Laval Kehinde – Modakeke Muslim College

5. Anglo Kehinde – The Apostolic Grammar School 


Presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries, the President, World Care International Ministry, Dr. Olajide Animasaun, who was represented by Dr. Ajayi Abiodun said, the scholarship award which is an annual event is to assist parents and encourage the best students in various schools to do more in their academics.


Dr. Animasaun charged the Students to be steadfast and determined to seek knowledge, acquire it and use it for the greater goods of society. 


He said more students would benefit from the scholarship in subsequent years.


The Ogunsua of Modakeke, Oba Oladejo Oyediran, appreciated World Care International ministry for the various developmental projects in the community.


He urged other well to do individuals and organizations to emulate such gesture. 


He later gave the Students royal blessings and prayed for God guidance for the donor.


Some of the Students including OladapoTaiwo and Rashaq Aisha appreciated the donor and promised to justice the confidence reposted in them.


They said the gesture would go a long way in the pursuit of their academic career.
