The Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Adimula (Arulewolasi III) has reacted to the Ondo State High Court judgement delivered on Thursday validating his position as a duly recognised traditional ruler in the state and that his selection followed due process.
The judgement dismissed a suit brought against his status and enthronement as the 49th Oba of Isinkan by the Deji of Akure, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo.
In his reaction after the judgment, the traditional ruler commended the judiciary for standing for justice.
Oba Adimula also thanked and offered prayers for more grace and divine wisdom for the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for his devotion to the rule of law and for his godly wisdom in managing the very delicate affairs of the traditional institutions in the state.
According to the royal father, “the judgement is a victory for the traditional history and culture of the people both in Isinkan and Akure”.
Extending an olive branch to the Deji of Akure, Oba Adimula opined that the judgement is “a case of no victor no vanquished”.
The royal father further appreciated members of the Ondo State Executive Council, past and present, who daily take difficult decisions in the best interest of the state”.
He thanked the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for his peaceful mediation and thanked the Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Olaniyi and his staff for their difficult task of reconciling all communities in Akure South Local Government area.
The royal father also showed his appreciation to the High Chiefs, princes and princesses, and the entire people of Isinkan among others. He singled out the Oloriomowa Iralepo, Prince Durojaye Adesagba Ariyo, who despite being one of the oldest in the entire local government at 107 years old, attended all the court sessions.
Oba Adimula stated further “that the judgement has rekindled our hope in the judicial system in Nigeria.
“I reiterate my commitment to the development of Isinkan and the entire Akure South Local Government” he affirmed.
