Sunday Adejuyigbe (Kekereowo) Becomes Pioneer Chairman of Akure West LCDA

***Iralepo of Isinkan Hails Feat, Urges Speedy Development

An astute Administrator and Politician, Hon Sunday Adejuyigbe is to steer the ship of the newly created Akure West Local Council Development Authority (LCDA) of Ondo State.

Hon. Adejuyigbe was nominated by the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

He scaled hurdles of screening by the Ondo State House of Assembly held on Tuesday 28th of November, 2023.
His swearing-in alongside other 50 Local governments and LCDA chairmen is expected to come up tomorrow Thursday 30th of November, 2023.
Reacting to the development, the Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula (Arulewolasi III) thanked the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Members of the state executive Council and the state Lawmakers for making the creation of LCDAs in the state a reality.
He described Hon. Adejuyigbe as an administrator of repute and sagacious politician.
Oba Olofin-Adimula expressed confidence in his ability to bring about desired development in Akure West LCDA.
“We can count on his experience as a former Councillor and former Chairman of the state waste management authority. Moreso, he’s a son of the soil who knows how eager are we to make things happen in Isinkan. I have absolute confidence that he ‘ll do well.”
Akure West LCDA with its headquarters in Isinkan is one of the 33 created by the State governor some months ago.
The LCDA has three political wards: ward 1 – 3.
The three Wards are traditional Isinkan land. Ward 1 houses all the farm settlements of Isinkan(Aladodo, Ajegunle, Kajola, Aponmu, Oke Ilero, ItaOniyan, Omu, Olokuta, etc).
Ward 2 is the location of the Iralepo palace while Ward 3 is the traditional Yaara Iralepo where there currently exist five (5) Iralepo layouts (Iralepo layout I, II, III, IV and V), Oke-Ogba, Iyange, Igbo Ijaro, Igbo Oluroko, Jegede layout, among others.

The combined population of the three (3) Wards is estimated at 237,000 (projected from the 2006 population census as adjusted).
