The Chairman of All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Engr Ade Adetimehin says no fewer than seven members of the state working committee of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Ondo State will soon join APC.
Adetimehin told Journalists in Akure that PDP has been decimated in the state.
At a get-together with Journalists along with the Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial district, Adeniyi Adegbomire, the state APC Chairman said the meeting has no political undertune but to meet minds with the members of the fourth estate of the realm.
He affirmed that the Governorship position in state has been zoned to the southern senatorial district “so anyone from the Central or the North districts still thinking of becoming the state governor now is wasting his or her time.”
Adetimehin described Adegbomire as the darling of APC not only in Ondo State but in Nigeria.
“Amongst the 109 Senators in Nigeria, Adegbomire is the only one who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN and has not allowed that to go into his head. He has been conducting his parliamentary assignments with utmost respect and diligence. He has brought his wealth of experience to bear in attending to national issues.”
“We are lucky to have you at the Central senatorial district and I can assure you that Adegbomire ‘ll continue to give good representation.” Adetimehin said
He enjoined Journalists to always be balanced in their reportage so as not to heat up the polity.
Adetimehin promised to make the interface with the Journalists regular so as to have understanding of political situation within APC.
