The Ondo State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon. Sunday Olajide, has congratulated the Permanent Secretary in charge of the ministry’s Physical Planning Sector, Chief Oluwagbenga Akingbasote, on his induction as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (CIPAN).
Olajide described the recognition as a testament to Akingbasote’s diligence, hard work, leadership qualities and professional competence, noting that his contributions had continued to enhance the performance of the ministry.
The Commissioner’s congratulatory message comes weeks after he similarly celebrated the Permanent Secretary in charge of the Building Control Sector, Tpl. Abimbola Tofowomo, on his conferment as a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (FNITP).
According to Olajide, the recognition of the two senior officials by their respective professional bodies reflects their commitment to excellence and the positive impact of their leadership in the public service.
He said he had always been proud of their leadership abilities and immense contributions to the achievements recorded by the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
While congratulating Akingbasote, the Commissioner urged him not to rest on his oars but to remain committed to his responsibilities as a senior public servant and actively participate in the activities of CIPAN.
He also charged him to uphold the values and standards of the institute in order to justify the confidence reposed in him through the fellowship conferment.
