Olus in Isinkan ‘ll Soon be Upgraded – Iralepo
The sleepy community of Kajola-Isinkan in Isinkan Akure West LCDA of Ondo State came alive as Olumuyiwa Aguda on Saturday celebrated his first anniversary as Olu with funfair.
The community might not have witnessed the number and quality of guests who trooped in from all walks of life to share in the joy of the Agudas.
Residents of the community also came out in large number with various uniforms while the youths adorned uniform T-shirts to mark the memorable event.
Addressing the gathering, the Iralepo of Isinkan kingdom, Oba (Barrister) Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula (Arulewolasi III) appaluded the huge turnout of residents and thanked them for their usual support.
He said Olu Olumuyiwa Aguda was carefully chosen to oversee the community to fast track development saying he has not disappointed him, the Iralepo council of Chiefs and the Omowas.
“We deliberated extensively before we zeroed-in on you to be in charge of this community. I must say that you have not disappointed us. Now potable water is running here, the road leading to this community is motorable and today we are raising funds to complete your palace. You have done well! I have the conviction that you will do more. You know we are thirsty for development.”
“I must place on record that we have forward looking Olus in Isinkan who have also keyed into our dream and vision of overall development of Isinkan kingdom. The Olu Aladodo, Ayodeji Fatoki has facilitated health centre and borehole to his community, the Olu Okeilero Itaoniyan-Isinkan, Akinwumi Adekanbi-Obe has received cheque to renovate a Primary school at Itaoniyan-Isinkan and provide drinkable water at Okeilero and I know our newest Olu, Olu Iyange-Isinkan, Ajibola Obadunjoye Awelewa is equally warming up.” I’m proud of all of you!
“You have not involved yourself in dirty, reckless and senseless land grabbing, rather you focused on development. E se gan ni.”
At the appropriate time, we ‘ll recommend all of you for upgrade as Obas. You have all done well.”
While reiterating that Isinkan land begins from Imogun to Owena bridge (left and right), Oba Olofin-Adimula said the land would soon house magnificent housing estates and gigantic industries that would provide jobs for the teeming youths of Isinkan kingdom.
“I can see a new ” VGC” in Isinkan just as sons and daughters of Isinkan are working on siting a federal institution on our land.” The Iralepo added.
The Olu Kajola-Isinkan, Olumuyiwa Aguda thanked the Iralepo and all the chiefs of Isinkan for considering him worthy of the position.
He said “though the journey was not easy at the beginning, I thank God we have surmounted all the stumbling blocks.”
Olu Aguda said he and his friends have embarked on scholarship award for pupils in the community just as the borehole in the community has been fixed for people enjoy drinkable water.
“We are also working on how to get public school in the community as well as community Hall. These will materialize soon.”
He said the palace which is under construction will soon be completed and enjoined friends to contribute in any way for it’s completion on time.
The commissioner for Finance, Wale Akinterinwa who was represented by Mr YinkaSalard Akinterinwa and the commissioner for Education, Pastor Femi Agagu pledged their support for developmental projects in the community.
Highlights of the occasion were fund raising and conferment of chieftaincy titles on deserving Nigerians.
