*SUSPENSION OF THE ONGOING PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION*

Solidarity greetings to you from the apex students body in Ondo State; an embodiment of all students union/associations in the sunshine state with over 2 million members (students).
In our utmost regard for the culture of comradeship and altruism, we address the entire student populace of Ondo state and Aluta junta who have held up the emblem of solidarity for the past 3 days.
On Monday 16th of May, 2022, the Nigerian Students present within the jurisdiction of Ondo state from their various citadel of learning under the combined efforts of their Students Union Executives and all students bodies within the state took to the street of Akure to match against the prolonged ASUU strike regardless of the odds, and the intimidation that lies within the ruling hegemony.
Of course we have all harnessed our resources together to demand for our right to uninterrupted academic activities.
Against all odds,we have withstood the strongest of all horrors, we survived the darkest nights of the day, persevered the scorching ray of the sun, and endured the pestilence that paraded the streets as we became vulnerable in the quest for resumption in no distant time,these are the sacrifices for our plights thus the need for proper commendation.
Today, the 18th of May 2022, makes it the third day we the Nigerian students have held the bull by the horn in demand for our rights.
We have stood our ground gallantly,we have spoken without fear and intimidation,our voices have pierced through the horizons of every governmental parastatal, and our agitations have been channeled to the oppressor virulently without equivocation.
The heat of our upheaval have been felt and we are confident that in no time we will resume back to our various citadel of learning.
NANS JCC Ondo State being a proactive and diplomatic body committed to the growth, development and welfare of the student community explore this medium to laud Student’s Union Presidents of OAUSTECH,AAUA, FUTA & UNIMED with their executives inclusive for their combined initiative and intuition.
By extension every student and student leaders who contributed morally and financially to the success of this struggle.
You have all played a vital role in the success of the movement, and it is our utmost desire that posterity and providence be fair to you all as you all have served the student populace well.
Furthermore we wish to inform Nigerian students that the acrimonious act exhibited by officers of the Nigerian Army Force has been duly taken care of and reports of such offensive and repugnant attack on students have been reported to the appropriate quarters.
However we will be on guard as we await a positive response from the Nigerian Army.
Having shown our grievances and agitations in a peaceful but avid and keen manner, we hereby suspend the solidarity movement till further notice and we are expectant of a positive response from the Federal Government and ASUU.
Nevertheless we will not hesitate to take to the street again if our expectations tarries.
On this note of diplomatic intelligence, the leadership of NANS JCC Ondo State under the aegis of Comr. Omotosho Surprise urges all Nigerian Students to vacate the street and go home as we await a positive result/feedback.
At this juncture,it is pertinent to reiterate our commitment to serving the entire student populace of Ondo state better and we will continue to fight for the interests of Nigerian students without fear.
