Isinkan Princess, Funmi Falana, Shortlisted as SAN as Iralepo Felicitates “an Iconic Jewel”

Princess Funmi Falana has been shortlisted as Senior Advocate of Nigeria by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC).
Princess (Mrs) Falana who is a younger sister of Prince Akinola Aguda of Iralepo Royal Dynasty is among the 69 Lawyers shortlisted.
The late Justice (Prince) Akinola Aguda was a jury emeritus who served as the first African Chief Justice of the Republic of Botswana and the first Chief Justice of Ondo State.
His parents were from Ilaramokin and Isinkan kingdoms – his grandfather being the famous Oba Iralepo Ifagbade Ifatirin (Onaowuro I) of Isinkan.
In a message personally signed by the Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula (Arulewolasi III), His Majesty eulogized Mrs Falana for her brilliance, professionalism, and integrity which earned her the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate.
On attainment of this great feat in her legal profession, the Isinkan Monarch expressed sincere hope and firm belief that Princess Funmi Falana would remain an advocate of the rule of law and be even more vocal about the greater well-being of the suffering masses as has been her pursuit in the past decades.
“Let me take the liberty of this joyous occasion to congratulate you on behalf of my myself and the entire Isinkan kingdom on your being shortlisted for promotion to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
“Like your father, you are our iconic national  jewel and a gift to the Africa”

“We join you in thanking the Almighty God for the promotion; acknowledging that promotion neither comes from the east nor west nor south, but from the Lord God Almighty.

Princess (Mrs) Funmi Falana is the wife of  Femi Falana a Nigerian activist and lawyer; and mother to Falz , a Nigerian recording artist and actor.
The royal father also congratulated Chief Kayode Ajulo, another Ondo State born who is among the shortlisted SANs.
The LPPC, chaired by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) is responsible for awarding the prestigious SAN rank to deserving lawyers each year.
