The traditional institution is leaving nothing to chances to guarantee a peaceful governorship election in Ondo state on Saturday.
To this end, some Regents across the state have come together to midwive peace accord in their communities.
Under the auspieces of Ondo State Regent led Governance, Peace, and Security Alliance Project, the accord was signed in communities like Iboropa in Akoko North East, Iwaro Oka in Akoko South West, as well as Ibulesoro and Irese in Ifedore local government area.
During the peace dialogue, attended by traditional, religious institutions in the communities, leaders of the political parties committed themselves to a violence free election.
The Regent of Ibule-soro, Princess Moyinoluwa Falowo expressed hope that the initiative with the support of a UK based sustainable development organization, Alpha Zulu Advocates will promote peace during the poll.
She expressed optimism that the initiative will be a springboard to galvanize and commit more communities across the country to peaceful elections.
Her counterpart at Irese, Princess Damilola Falegan appealed to her people to make peace their watchword during the election.
She emphasized the need for unity in the community before, during and after the election.
