Scholar and Head Media and Corporate Communications of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Felix Ale, has congratulated the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council on the outcome of it’s election which produced Prince Leke Adegbite as Chairman.

In a congratulatory message personally signed and made available to Newsmen, Dr Ale described the outcome of the NUJ election as a reflection of the choice of journalists and media professionals across the different chapels in the state.

He stated that as a thorough-bred journalist who has distinguished himself, he is confident that Prince Adegbite would bring his wealth of experience to bear in the administration of the NUJ in the state.

The NARSDA Spokesperson urged Adegbite to unite the NUJ and mobilise members of the union to meet their functions of providing information, enlightenment, entertainment, and surveillance to the larger society.

He said the victory is a good one for the Union and all practising journalists in Ondo State.

Dr Ale advised the new chairman to make personal efforts to reach out to all members of the union who might be aggrieved with his emergence for reconciliation.

He reminded the NUJ leadership that the country would continue to look up to their members for fair, balanced and objective journalism, particularly at this critical moment of our history and development.

He urged the media to forge greater unity in the union, engage in productive dialogue to resolve any issue inimical to the progress of the association.

“I wish My brother, Prince Leke Adegbite well in his endeavours, and pray for his success throughout the three-year tenure.

I have the confidence that the current Executive Members will move the NUJ Ondo State Council to an enviable height.” Ale said.
