Economic Crisis: Convoke National Prayers now, Pastor Ebijomore Tells President Tinubu

Jun 25, 2024

The founder and general overseer of God’s Annoited and Blessed Church International, Pastor Toye Ebijomore has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to call a national prayers as a panacea to the current economic hardship.

The Cleric in a viral video said prayer is the antidote to the economic quagmire.

He said, early this year, he had warned that Nigerians would go through sufferings, hardship and famine but his message was ignored.

Pastor Ebijomore said the current economic situation has defied all economic theories because the right steps had not been taken.

“Early in the year, I had urged the President to gather servants of God together for national prayers of redemption and dedication.”

“I said we need to offer holy sacrifice to God to replace evil sacrifices that have been made against Nigeria but they ignored the message which has led to the current sufferings, hardship, crisis diseases and famine”

“But the theorists still believe they have solution to the problem. The problem we are having in Nigeria is spiritual and we should solve it spiritually.”

“When there was famine is Samaria, it was the king that called Prophet Elisha to pray, he prayed and there was solution. When there was famine in Gerar, God spoke to Isaac before there was solution.”

“When there was famine in Egypt, the Lord appeared to the king in the dream and gave the interpretation to Joseph and gave solution to him too. When famine was to come to the entire world, the Lord showed it to Prophet Agabus, meaning that fermine does not just happen, it is spiritual and we must use spiritual solution.”

“It is not as if Nigerians are not praying, but what the Bible recommends is that the head who is the President should call the servants of God for prayers because he’s the one in charge.”

” If America can call a national prayers why not Nigeria.”

Pastor Ebijomore noted that Festac ’77 was organized by the then President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo with its attendant debts, but when he came back, he introduced “Nigeria turning point” which was a national prayer. It was held yearly during his term and through the prayers God helped him to the extent that all the debts Nigeria was owing was forgiven.”

He noted that by next year, there would be economic buoyancy but Nigerians must first return to God.
