PDP’S PLAN TO DESTROY APC BILLBOARDS, POSTERS UNCOVERED
This is to alert the general public, particularly the security agencies of the sinister plan by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to destroy billboards, banners and posters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akure, the Ondo State Capital ahead of the official Flagoff of the PDP campaign tomorrow.
The PDP dastardly act is to create an illusion that the sinking party is on ground and popular in Ondo state by replacing the billboards and posters of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, with that of the PDP candidate.
We condemn this undemocratic act of attempting to circumvent the wishes and aspirations of the various interest and political groups that have put up various billboards and posters for the APC and its candidate, Arakunrin Akeredolu.
The willingness of our people to voluntarily erect billboards and posters for Governor Akeredolu and his running mate, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa is an attestation of the acceptability of the APC and its candidate in the state.
We are, by this statement, alerting the security agencies, particularly the Police and the Department of State Services, to swing into action this night by preventing the PDP from perpetrating this unwholesome act.
On our part, we shall continue to seek the intervention of the security agencies to prevent any unprovoked attack and violence by the PDP, a political party which has an unenviable history of violence and thuggery in the state.
