The Honourable Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, has approved the transfer of the suit filed by Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, who represents Ondo South Senatorial District, to Akure for continuation.
On May 12th, Matthew Burkaa SAN, counsel for the All Progressives Congress (APC), the first defendant, requested the transfer of the case from Abuja to Akure. This request was made in accordance with Rule IV (8)(I) of the Federal High Court (Pre-Election) Practice Directions, 2022.
The Chief Judge granted the request in a letter titled “Re: Application For The Transfer of Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/588/2024 Between Senator (Dr) Jimoh F. Ibrahim Vs All Progressives Congress (APC) & 2 Ors To Akure Judicial Division of the Federal High Court.” The letter was signed by Joshua Ibrahim Aji Esq., Special Assistant to the Hon. Chief Judge, and dated May 22, 2024.
The hearing and determination of all issues will now continue in the Judicial Division of the Federal High Court, located in Alagbaka, Akure.
