A 72 year old man employed as a security guard was also arrested for colluding with kidnappers to abduct his boss.
62 suspected criminals arrested by the Ondo State Security Network Agency Amotekun Corp from different parts of the State are making an appearance here at the agency’s headquarters in Akure.
Amotekun commander ADETUNJI ADELEYE says the suspects were arrested after intensive operations in urban and rural areas including at the states forest reserves.
A cross section of the suspected criminals include those arrested for kidnapping including a kingpin disturbing the Ago Daada and Agọ Oyinbo in Akure , burglary, armed robbery .
Among the suspects is a 72 year old who works as a security guard at a facility but apprehended for providing information to aid the kidnapp of his boss
The security chief said food items and cash paid as ransome were retrieved during the operations

Some of the suspects were also arrested with a vehicle laden with stolen goats put up for sale to prospective customers
Adeleye who is also the special adviser to governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on security restated the government’s commitment to safety of residents
