***GMT says Tinubu’s Reforms have Improved Lives, vows Sustained Mobilisation across Ondo’s 203 Wards.

Women under the aegis of the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT) from the 18 local government areas of Ondo State on Monday endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for a second term in office, citing the administration’s achievements across key sectors.

The women, drawn from the state’s 203 wards and representing artisans, professionals and various ethnic groups, expressed confidence that the Renewed Hope agenda of President Tinubu would continue to improve the lives of Nigerians if given another mandate.

They also declared support for the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), dissociating themselves from recent protests by what they described as unknown women who did not represent the interests of women in Ondo State.

According to them, the party’s candidates enjoy widespread acceptance and would emerge victorious at the polls.

They urged aggrieved aspirants to embrace sportsmanship and work for the success of the APC.

Speaking at the event, the GMT Director of Women Affairs, Chief (Mrs.) Olamide Falana, said the Tinubu administration had recorded significant achievements in education, infrastructure, security, social welfare and agriculture.

She cited the disbursement of over N242.4 billion through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to more than 1.3 million students, ongoing road projects, improved security, social intervention programmes and the Renewed Hope Initiative of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as evidence of the administration’s impact.

Falana also praised the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for reforms in passport administration, correctional services, national identity management and the establishment of Africa’s first world-class Fire Academy.

The Director-General of GMT in Ondo State, Hon. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, said the endorsement was a demonstration of appreciation for President Tinubu’s performance and a commitment to secure his re-election.

He said GMT had commenced grassroots mobilisation across the state, targeting more than one million votes for the President in the 2027 election through continuous engagement, empowerment programmes and medical outreaches.

“We are united as APC members in Ondo State. Our women have spoken clearly that President Tinubu should continue in office because of what he has done for Nigerians,” he said.

Also speaking, GMT Secretary, Hon. Rasheed Badmus, said the group had many reasons to support the President, noting that Ondo State had benefited from key federal appointments and infrastructure projects.

He particularly commended the performance of the Minister of Interior, Tunji-Ojo, describing his leadership as beneficial to both Ondo State and the nation.

The women reaffirmed their readiness to mobilise support across all 18 local government areas to ensure the victory of President Tinubu, Vice President Shettima and APC candidates in the next general elections.
