As part of efforts to promote access to quality education and support the welfare of school children, the Yeye Bobaselu of Isinkan Kingdom and Missionary of Praise International Gospel Center, USA, Chief Marylin Glaspie, has donated school uniforms, sandals and stockings to 82 pupils of The Apostolic Primary School, Isinkan in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The donation, which also included Bibles and food items for all pupils of the school, attracted community leaders, parents, teachers and residents who gathered to witness the humanitarian gesture.
Speaking at the event, the Iralepo of Isinkan Kingdom, Oba Oluwagbemiga Olofin Adimula, commended Chief Glaspie for her unwavering commitment to the development of education and the welfare of children within the community.
The monarch described the initiative as a noble investment in the future of the younger generation, noting that education remains a vital tool for societal growth and development.
He urged individuals, philanthropists and corporate organisations to complement government efforts by supporting schools and vulnerable children.
Oba Olofin Adimula emphasized that acts of kindness such as the donation would not only improve the learning conditions of pupils but also inspire them to pursue their academic aspirations with confidence.
In her remarks, the Headmistress of Apostolic Primary School, Mrs. Mafimisebi Blessing, expressed profound gratitude to the donor for remembering the pupils of the school.
She noted that many parents had struggled to provide complete school kits for their children, adding that the donation of uniforms, stockings and sandals would ease financial pressures on families while ensuring that the beneficiaries attend school properly dressed and prepared for learning.
Mrs. Mafimisebi described the intervention as timely and impactful, saying it would boost the morale of the pupils and encourage regular school attendance.
Also speaking, the Senior Girl of the school, Blessing Michael, thanked Chief Glaspie on behalf of the pupils for the generous support.
She said the beneficiaries were excited to receive the items and promised that the pupils would remain diligent in their studies and make good use of the gifts.
