A prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, two-time Supervisor for Education in Warri South Local Government, former Councillorship candidate in Edjeba Ward, and House of Assembly aspirant, Chief Dr. Linda Eya Ikpuri, has paid a heartfelt and glowing tribute to the late mother of Delta State APC Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, describing her as a remarkable matriarch whose life embodied strength, wisdom, and enduring legacy.
In a condolence message made available to newsmen, Dr. Ikpuri said the passing of Mrs. Arenyeka marks the end of an era, noting that the nonagenarian lived a fulfilled and impactful life devoted to the upliftment of her family and the moral foundation of her community.
Mrs. Arenyeka died on April 24, 2026, at the age of 91.
Dr. Ikpuri described the late matriarch as a woman of rare grace and resilience, whose quiet strength and nurturing spirit helped shape generations of leaders, including her son, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, who continues to play a significant role in the political landscape of Delta State.
“Her life was a testament to dignity, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to family values. She stood as a pillar of support, a moral compass, and a source of inspiration not only to her children but to all who came in contact with her.” Dr. Ikpuri stated
The APC Chieftain further noted that Mama Arenyeka’s legacy goes beyond longevity, emphasizing that she lived with purpose, touched lives, and instilled virtues that will continue to guide her descendants and the wider community.

“She was a mother to many, a symbol of unity, and a woman whose life reflected the very best of our cultural heritage,” she said.
Extending her condolences, Dr. Ikpuri urged Chief Solomon Arenyeka and the entire Arenyeka family to take solace in the impactful life their mother lived, noting that her memory will remain a blessing and a guiding light.
