The Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Prof. Olugbenga Ige, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim community, staff, and students of the institution on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement issued by the University’s Information, Protocol and Public Relations Unit, the Vice Chancellor congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, describing the festival as a period that embodies spiritual renewal, sacrifice, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
Prof. Ige noted that the core values of Ramadan—self-discipline, charity, and compassion—should not end with the fasting period but should be sustained in the daily lives of individuals within and beyond the university community.
He urged members of the institution to use the occasion to promote mutual understanding, tolerance, and unity across religious and cultural lines.
“As we celebrate this significant day, I call on all staff and students to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan—patience, piety, and perseverance. These are the values that build character and strengthen our university community,” he said.
The Vice Chancellor also advised students to remain committed to their academic pursuits and to avoid actions capable of disrupting the peace and stability of the university.
He reassured the university community of the management’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for teaching, learning, research, and character development.
Prof. Ige further prayed that the blessings of the Eid season would bring progress and success to members of the university community, as well as peace and development to Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
