In a grand traditional ceremony on Saturday, November 29, 2025, Oba Yusuf Adebisi Adeleye, the Olubaka of Oka and Ambassador Col. Roland Omowa (Rtd) were formally elevated to the Elders Council of Ibaka Quarters, Oka Akoko.

The occasion drew prominent dignitaries, including the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Ayedatiwa, among other traditional leaders and community stakeholders.

The event also saw a colourful display of solidarity and communal support by the Arishe Dynasty Foundation from Iwonrin Oka Akoko.

Led by its chairman, Mr. Kayode Arishe, and other family members, the foundation made a grand entrance into the palace to honour the two new elders.

On Friday, November 28, 2025, the Arishe family visited both the Kabiyesi and Col. Omowa at their homes.

According to Mr. Arishe, the visit was to formally congratulate them on their elevation, and to express gratitude to their families for their steadfast support of the foundation’s charitable initiatives.

The Kabiyesi extended heartfelt appreciation to the Arishe family for their philanthropic efforts, particularly their support for less privileged children and their sponsorship of the Oka Day football competition.

He prayed for God’s continued protection over the family.

Later, at Col. Omowa’s residence, the retired ambassador likewise commended the foundation for its continued concern for the underprivileged in society.

On the following day, the collaboration day of Saturday, November 29, family members of the Arishe Dynasty gathered again at the reception venue to celebrate with the two newly elevated elders.

The foundation, established by the children of the late Hon. Femi Arishe from Iworin Quarter, remains committed to its founding mission: offering support to underprivileged children in the Oka-Akoko community.
