The Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, Professor Olugbenga E. Ige, has charged all fresh and returning students of the institution to be worthy ambassadors of the university.
Prof. Ige gave the charge on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, while speaking with some media organisations in his office.
He congratulated the newly admitted students for securing admission into the university, describing them as fortunate among the thousands of candidates who sought placement in the institution.
The Vice Chancellor urged all students to complete their online registration promptly and ensure timely payment of school fees to guarantee a hitch-free academic session.
He further advised the students to acquaint themselves with the university’s rules and regulations and abide by them to promote a safe, disciplined, and conducive learning environment.
Prof. Ige emphasised the importance of security consciousness, integrity, and good conduct both on and off campus, urging students to uphold the institution’s core values of integrity, diligence, and respect as encapsulated in its motto, “For Learning and Service.”
According to him, “The University remains committed to providing quality education, effective support services, and a safe environment for all students and members of its community.”
Meanwhile, following the official announcement of resumption, students have started arriving on campus for the commencement of the 2025/2026 academic session, which is expected to be both productive and engaging.
The university community has also extended its best wishes to all students for a successful and fulfilling academic year.
