The Rotary Club of Akure Prestige has inaugurated Rotarian Kolawole Ajibade as its 4th President, ushering in a new chapter in the club’s young but impactful history.
The colourful investiture ceremony, held in Akure, served a dual purpose, the induction of new board members for the 2025 Rotary year and a fundraiser in support of ongoing and future humanitarian projects.
The occasion was made even more special as it coincided with President Ajibade’s birthday and the grand commissioning of his personal office complex, a symbolic gesture of progress and service.

Chairman of the Investiture Committee, Rotarian Adesoji Amotade, highlighted the rapid growth of the club since its establishment in 2021.
“In just four years, Rotary Club of Akure Prestige has become a beacon of service and transformation. From health outreach to education support and community empowerment, our impact is being felt.” He said

Outgoing President, Rotarian Victor Oloruntoba, reflected on his tenure with a sense of fulfillment.
“We were able to execute several meaningful projects, and I am confident that under Ajibade’s leadership, the club will soar even higher. He said
He urged the new executive to intensify efforts and deepen community engagement.
In his acceptance speech, President Ajibade pledged to build on the legacy of service.
“We are committed to deepening our humanitarian interventions, especially in education, health, and youth empowerment. “

“Our goal is to touch more lives, inspire hope, and uphold the ideals of Rotary, Service Above Self.” He said
Chairman of the Occasion, Dr. Dayo Omotoyinbo, commended the club’s impact-driven focus.
“Rotary is about impact, and this club has proven that consistent, focused effort can yield results. We must continue to support initiatives that uplift humanity.” He stated
Delivering the keynote address, Professor Sunday Faduyile, a former President of the Nigerian Medical Association, lauded the club’s commitment to community development.
“In a society where many look away, Rotary has chosen to act — and that’s what makes the difference,” he remarked.
One of the highlights of the day was the presentation of Awards of Excellence to distinguished individuals for their contributions to society across various fields.
The moment was charged with emotion and appreciation for those who have made tangible impacts.
Earlier in the day, the President officially commissioned his office complex, a modern edifice that symbolized growth, responsibility, and vision.
“It is more than an office; it is a hub of ideas and initiatives that will drive social change,” Ajibade noted.
With new leadership in place, the Rotary Club of Akure Prestige is poised to scale new heights. Since its charter in 2021, the club has maintained a track record of impactful service, and the future, under Ajibade’s stewardship, looks even more promising.
“Our journey has just begun,” the President affirmed. “We will continue to be a force for good – one project, one life at a time.
