The Osolo of Isolo Kingdom in Akure South local government area of Ondo State, Oba Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole (Osalade II), has commended the children of the late Fadeleet Sheikh Alhaji Oba Sakariyahu Akewushola for their community spirit and generosity following the commissioning of a modern borehole project in the kingdom.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Osolo described the gesture as timely and impactful, especially as it coincided with the return of the benefactors from the holy pilgrimage to Mecca.
He noted that access to clean water remains a pressing need in many communities and lauded the family for prioritizing a project that touches directly on the welfare of the people.
The monarch, who officially commissioned the borehole, offered royal prayers for the benefactors, particularly Alhaji Muhammedu Bashir Olawale, Chairman/CEO of Abiskoly Homes Developer Nig. Ltd, and Alhaji Chief Ali Saka, Olu-Omo of Isolo and Chairman/CEO of Bonzo Farm Nig. Ltd.
He urged other well-to-do sons and daughters of Isolo to emulate the noble example by investing in initiatives that improve community life.
Oba Adewole reflected on the legacy of the late Sheikh Sakariyahu Akewushola, noting that his children had done well to honor his name through such a meaningful project.
He expressed hope that the borehole would serve the people of Isolo for generations and strengthen the community’s collective resolve toward development.
“This is the kind of development we desire in Isolo. Let this borehole stand as a symbol of what is possible when love for one’s people is backed by action,” the Osolo declared.
The event drew a large crowd, including religious and traditional leaders, among them the Grand Chief Imam of Akure Empire, Sheikh Al-Imam Abdulhakeem Akorede Albarkar; The Iralepo of Isinkan Kingdom, HRM Oba Oluwagbemiga Olofin-Adimula, the Olu of Ita-Oniyan; and a representative of the Chairman of Akure South Local Government.
In his sermon, guest lecturer, Fadeleet Sheikh Alhaji Ahmad Abdullateef Al-Mubarak Al-Adaby, emphasized the spiritual and social importance of kindness, mutual respect, and community-oriented service.
He praised the commissioning as both a religiously meritorious act and a civic responsibility.
The commissioning ceremony, filled with celebration and gratitude, marked not only the successful completion of the pilgrimage by the benefactors but also the beginning of a new chapter of development for the Isolo Kingdom.
In the words of the Osolo, “Let this not be the end. Let others follow. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier, and more united Isolo.”
