The Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Olawande Ayodele, has commended the Naija Food Festival for celebrating Nigeria’s rich culinary heritage while promoting youth empowerment and cultural innovation.
Speaking at the official launch of the festival in Lagos on Wednesday, Ayodele expressed delight at the diverse array of Nigerian cuisine on display, describing the event as a powerful platform for cultural exchange, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
The festival was organized by Hunter TV Africa.
“This festival aligns perfectly with our mission to empower young Nigerians by leveraging cultural platforms that foster creativity and innovation,” the Minister said.
Ayodele also joined other dignitaries to showcase his culinary skills at the event. He cooked alongside Hon. Ayo Adeagbo, Special Assistant to the President on Arts, Culture and Creative Economy; Fuji music icon, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma; and Hon. Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy.
In his remarks, Ayodele stressed the need to further develop and promote Nigeria’s culinary culture, urging stakeholders in the entertainment, arts, and culture industries to align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for youth development and national rebranding through cultural expression.
