Publicity Secretaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South West have expressed profound sorrow over the sudden passing of their colleague, Alhaji Tunde Oladunjoye.
Oladunjoye, who served as the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Ogun State and the South West Coordinator of the Conference of APC State Publicity Secretaries, died on Friday, April 4, 2025, in the United Kingdom following a brief illness.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the conference described his death as both shocking and heartbreaking, particularly as he appeared hale and hearty during their most recent meeting.
“Alhaji Oladunjoye was not just a committed party man but also a seasoned journalist, fearless democrat, and devoted administrator whose contributions to the party and the nation will be sorely missed,” the statement read. “His passing at such a crucial time has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.”
The group expressed deep appreciation to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his tireless and genuine efforts to save the life of their late colleague.
“Our hearts and prayers are with his immediate family, the government and people of Ogun State, and the Muslim community where he served with exceptional dedication,” the statement added.
The zonal group, which comprises APC Publicity Secretaries from Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, and Ogun States, prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the departed and asked that his soul be granted eternal rest.
