The Ondo State Government has presented Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to His Royal Majesty, Oba Johnson Kayode Ajomole as the OJOGBABIAKA of Ilado Community in Akure North local government area of the State.
The new monarch is one of the recently elevated traditional rulers in the state.
Oba Johnson Kayode Ajomole (J.P) had made presentation and strenuously defended the memorandum for the upgrading of the Olu of Ilado Chieftaincy to a traditional ruler before Hon. Justice C.E.T Ajama Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Chieftaincy Matters in Ondo State and the state government recently approved the elevation of the monarch as “the OJOGBABIAKA of Ilado”.
Congratulating Oba Ajomole, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu said the monarch’s recognition was in line with the law, warning those causing unnecessary disaffection in the community to stay off or face the consequence.
The Governor who was represented by State Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy affairs, Hon Akinwumi Sowore, enjoined the traditional ruler and other monarchs to be in the forefront of helping government ensuring security of the people in the state.
In his remarks, His Royal Majesty, Oba Johnson Kayode Ajomole as the OJOGBABIAKA of Ilado Community, expressed deep appreciation to Governor Akeredolu and the state government for allowing the truth to prevail.
Oba Ajomole said the community would remain grateful to the Governor for the historic gesture.
