XMAS: Exemplar friends Club International put Smile on the Faces of Children at Christ Orphanage Home, Ondo

Christ Orphanage Home is a faith based non-governmental organisation with focus on caring for abandoned babies, orphans, motherless babies and vulnerable kids.

Established about 21 years ago, Christ Orphanage home, a non-fee organisation has been a blessing to the less priviledged in Ondo State and beyond.

As parts of activities for this year’s end of the year Christmas party and carols was the donation of cash and food items by the Exemplar friends club international.

In his address, the National President of the club, Dr. Olajide Animasaun, who was represented by the Vice president and Chairman of the project committee, Dr. Tayo Alade, said, parts of the club statutory projects is orphanage outreach and Christ Orphanage was picked as the beneficiary for this year donation for its life impacting programmes.

Dr. Animasaun who said the club has made some marks in the sands of time in reaching out to the society through various programmes such as: Scholarship awards to students, Health screening exercise, provision of social amenities to communities, among other laudable projects, reiterated the commitment of the club to continuing to do more.

While commending the proprietor of Christ orphanage home, Evengelist Solayide Akokewa Olaseinde and her team for their care for children and vulnerables in society, Dr Animasaun called on other well meaning individuals and corporate organisations to support the orphanage home.

Responding, the proprietor, Christ orphanage home, Evengelist Solayide Akokewa Olaseinde said the journey which started from God’s calling 21 years ago has been fruitful.

She said the home which started in lagos with four children has now increased to hundreds for both nursery and primary non-fee school to secondary students and others on scholarship.

According to her: ‘The non-fee primary and secondary schools have been on the blueprint of the Orphanage and God has been moving with us’.

She highlighted some of the yearly programmes to include: Yearly skill acquisition and empowerment programme, yearly Scholarship programme, Yearly soft loans to the less priviledged, the last Thursday of the Month feeding of widows at All Saints Anglican Church Ogbonkowi, Ondo among others.

Evengelist Olaseinde appreciated Exemplar friends club international for its support and prayed God to give members the grace to continue to do more for the society.

She appealed to government at all levels and other well-to-do in the country to always support the less priviledged.

The event featured special rendition by the kids, cultural displayed, carol songs, spellings competition, reading of A-Z, presentation of gifts and awards, Among others
