Asks Electorate in Akoko North East/West Fed Constituency to Brace up for Bye-Election
A Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Afolami Olabomi has congratulated Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo on his nomination as a Minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a congratulatory message Hon Olabomi described the nomination as “well deserved.”
The message reads in part: “I heartily congratulate you on your well deserved nomination as Minister designate by the President and Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
“Stepping into a new position is an exciting feat, and I’m delighted you have this opportunity. Knowing you, you’ll shine more in this new role than you already do.”
“Congratulations on your new appointment.”
Hon. Olabomi who is the Deputy National Director of ATIKULATED GLOBAL MOVEMENT ( AGM) said the new appointment of Hon. Tunji-OJo has made it expedient for the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct of another election for Akoko North East/West Federal Constituency.
The United States of America based politician who was a House of Representatives aspirant under the platform of PDP in the last general elections said the situation has created opportunity for PDP to claim their rightful position.
“With this development, INEC will have to conduct a fresh election in Akoko North East/West Federal Constituency within 90 days. This will also include primary elections by political parties that are interested in the election.”
“I want to urge our party members to brace up for the work ahead. We knew why we lost the last election, the factors are no longer there.”
“I beseech our political leaders to close ranks and ensure victory for our party in the bye-election. It is doable! We can do it!”
Hon. Olabomi appealed to all stakeholders to to set machineries in motion for the election on time.
