Traditional rulers under the umbrella of the Ondo state 130 Krown Obas, on Sunday sent a congratulatory message to the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on his resounding victory at the just concluded October 10, 2020 gubernatorial election.
This is contained in a Press Statement by their Acting President, Akapinsa of Ipinsa, Oba Olufunmilayo Omoniyi and the Secretary, Adapogun of Ipogun, Oba Oluwadare Ojo, and a copy made available to newsmen in Akure yesterday.
The monarchs are of the opinion that the reelection of Arakunrin Akeredolu for another four years in office was a true reflection of his administration’s unprecedented achievements in the last three and half years.
The Royal fathers said the overwhelming votes of their subjects for Arakunrin Akeredolu could best be described as a reward for the Governor’s total rededication, sincerity and boldness in providing leadership and meeting yearnings of the masses.
The traditional rulers expressed satisfaction with performances and professionalism of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and all security operatives that led to huge success of the governorship election.
The monarch appealed to the governor to repay people’s confidence in him with more good jobs in all critical sectors.
The Royal fathers advised Governor Akeredolu to be magnanimous in victory, and serve the entire people of Ondo State more than ever before.
“We urge all residents of ondo state to continue to maintain the peace and sustain their support for the Akeredolu’s administration. We also pray God to continue to guide and guard our dear Governor Akeredolu and enrich him with more knowledge and wisdom to lead us to higher level,” the Monarchs pleaded.
