No one implicated in the death of Dowen College student Sylvester Oromoni Jr will be spared,’ President Muhammadu Buhari said on Wednesday in a statement.
The president denounced the event that resulted in the death of the 12-year-old schoolboy.
“I share the outpouring of rage and anguish felt across the country as a result of this event,” he stated.
The President asked the police to continue their investigation until they were able to determine the source of the problem and to let the law take its course, stressing that justice would be served no matter who was involved.
Prior to his death, Sylvester Oromoni said 5 senior students at the College, located in Lekki, Lagos State, had tortured him because he refused to be indoctrinated into a cult.
Nigerians expressed outrage and demanded that justice be served to the deceased schoolboy.
Lagos State government began an investigation into it and ordered the school to be closed indefinitely.
