JUST IN: Olujare of Ijare Joins Ancestors

The Olujare of Ijare Land, Oba Adebamigbe Oluwagbemigun – the Kokotiri II has passed on to join his ancestors.

Oba Oluwagbemigun ascended the throne in 1996. He was a trained Engineer. The late Monarch was 83 years before his passage.

The Prime Minister of Ijare who is the Sapetu of Ijare, High Chief Wemimo Olaniran confirmed his passage.

Ijare is one of the towns in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Following his passage, the High Chief Salotun of Ijare, a Male, will now act as the Regent (acting King) because Ijare tradition doesn’t support a Female Regent.
