The leadership and members of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ekitan ward in Ilaje local government area of Ondo State have suspended their Chairman, Mr Ajimisan Johnson indefinitely
The decision was reached at a congress of the party held on Saturday, 9th April, 2022.
The congress therefore appointed Mr. Ojajuni Ibukun Blessing to take over as the Acting Chairman of the Party.
The congress also urged the party both at state and national levels to disregard the list of delegates purportedly submitted by the former chairman and drew another one.
The new delegates are; Hon Banji Okunomo, Hon Godday Erewa and Mrs Ileola Korolo.
Conveying the decisions in a letter to PDP local government chairman and signed by Hon Omoseebi Gideon ( Secretary Elders committee Ilaje Local Government and Chairman of the Congress) and Barrister Ebini Felix ( Former Secretary Ilaje Local Government Council and Secretary of the Congress, the party Chairman was accused of running the affairs of the party unilaterally and personally with no recourse to both the Excos and Leaders of the party-a situation that has wrecked heavy havoc and damage on the party in the ward.
He was also alleged to have consistently failed, refused and neglected to accede to the legitimate requests of Party Leaders and members to convoke meeting(s) of the party for more than a year.

Dear Sir,
Notification of Indefinite Suspension Of the chairman of Pdp Etikan Ward- Mr Ajimisan Johnson.
This is to notify your office, for your record and further necessary action, of the indefinite suspension handed on the Chairman of Etikan Ward-Mr Ajimisan Johnson by the executive of the party with subsequent ratification of same by the congress in a unanimous resolution on 9th April, 2022
For the avoidance of doubt, the following are the grounds of the indefinite suspension:
1- That the chairman of the ward (Mr Ajimisan Johnson ) has consistently failed, refused and neglected to accede to the legitimate requests of Party Leaders and members to convoke meeting(s) of the party for more than a year.
2- That the Chairman has been running the affairs of the party unilaterally and personally with no recourse to both the Excos and Leaders of the party-a situation that has wrecked heavy havoc and damage on the party in the ward.
3- In continuance of the unilateral action of the Chairman, the Chairman unilaterally sat in the comfort of his room, listed the names of the 3 Adhoc delegates and submitted same to the party secretariat at the local government in flagrant disregard for the the Party’s directive on the modality for choosing 3 Adhoc delegates.
4- From the fact obtained at the party Secretariat at Igbokoda ,not only that he single handedly submitted the 3 adhoc delegates but also selfishly included his wife’s name in the list against the spirit and letters of the Party constitution.
5- That the Party, in exercise of its powers in sections 46(1) and 47(3) of the PDP Constitution which state thus, “that a vote of no confidence may be moved on any member of the Executive Committee of the Party at any level of the Congress and where such a vote of no confidence is passed, such officer stands removed until any otherwise decision is taken by the same congress that exercised that power”. The Congress, having ratified the suspension moved against the Chairman- Mr. Johnson Ajimisan by a unanimous decision, the Chairman hereby stands suspended forthwith.
6- The Congress accordingly appointed Mr. Ojajuni Ibukun Blessing to, with immediate effect, take over as the Acting Chairman of the Party.
7.The Congress also resolved that your Office should disregard the list of the nominated 3 Adhoc delegates earlier submitted by the suspended Chairman and replace same with the following names.
Hon Banji Okunomo
Hon Godday Erewa
Mrs Ileola Korolo
