ONDO STATE is stronger when we have peaceful election. We don’t have to fight to elect a leader because democracy is based on human rights and fundamental freedoms, and in which the freely expressed will of people is exercised. People have a say in decisions and can hold decision – makers to account. Women and men have equal rights and all people are free from discrimination.
Electoral violence diminishes our dignity. You must have being struggling in life and might not attained success, but it is at that point in time you should be extra ordinary careful because a minute mistake can metamorphose into a life time retrogression.
I plead with you all to exercise your franchise in a peaceful and fair manner and I implore everyone not to fight before, during and after elections. I urge the good people of AKOKO LAND and ONDO STATE entirely to go out there Vote and exercise your power as a true citizen of our great nation.
Let us as one people make this election a peaceful one and always remember that election is not a war or do or die affairs, let us keep this nation peaceful to put our dear country high above all other nations.
