There was relief for families and residents of Ipinsa in Akure South Local Government of ONDO State as the team of the Exemplar Friends Club International visited the community to render free public healthcare services in line with the association’s deployment of routine medical outreach in communities across Nigeria.
The event which was held at the palace of Akapinsa of Ipinsa, provided an opportunity for residents of the area to check their, Blood Presure, Body Max Idex, Weight,Blood sugar, among others.
President of Exemplar Friends Club International, Dr Olajide Animasaun said that the outreach was one of the humanitarian services of the association, adding that the medical service was at the primary level of healthcare.
Dr. Animasaun, who was represented by the General secretary of the association, Mr Akinola Omotayo, who said the free health screening as part of their various regular community projects would enable residents to know their health status.
“We all know that health is wealth. It is important that we take care of ourselves and do things that will improve our health outcomes. It is also understandable that the ability and or the accessibility may be lacking among us. Such has geared us to promote this program and we are grateful that the seed in our mind germinated and comes to life.
At today’s screening, you will have the opportunity to check and know your health status about the followings:
1. Blood pressure 2. Body Mass Index ( BMI) 3. Weight 4. Blood glucose
All these health parameters are very vital to our existence and should be checked periodically and monitored regularly as the case may be to improve our health status.
Many people have died in our society just by failing to know their health status and a simple regular check up of blood pressure could have kept them alive today.
So, we encourage you to utilize these 3 days to update your health indicators and act accordingly to improve your health and prolong your life.
Be your brother’s keeper by inviting friends and family members to this program to partake in this FREE exercise.”
He urged the beneficiaries to check their health status periodically for healthy living.
Akapinsa of Ipinsa, Oba Omoniyi Oluwafunmilayo, who expressed joy at the choice of his community, thanked the association for the gesture.
He said it would go a long way in assisting residents of the community to know their health status and the next line of action to take.
The leader of the medical team, Dr Abiodun Ajayi who lauded the organisers of the event, urged the people of ipinsa community especially those who are yet to come for the check-up to ultilise the 3 day event to know their health status.
Some of the beneficiaries commended Exemplar Friends Club International for the gesture.
At the end of the 3-day free health screening exercise, residents of the area were full of gratitude to the organizer and called for more.

I bring greetings from all members of EFCI both home and abroad to us and say a big thank you for coming to this program. And has you have honored our call, God will honor you and your household as well.
A big thanks to Kabiyesi Akapinsa of Ipinsa and the chiefs in council for the opportunity accord us to accept this program in this venue for the betterment of the community people , may your reign be long and a big thanks to the chiefs as well.
EFCI is a social club that cares about the members of the club and borne to serve the community at large. We have many community projects among which are:
1. Yearly scholarship for students
2. Orphanage outreach
3. Health Screening program.
4. Help mete for members
and others as to mention a few.
To the glory of God, the project committee under the leadership of Hon. Sunday Esho recorded a great success in the past and we are grateful to God for what we achieved so far.
Today, the project committee under the leadership of Hon. Dr. Tayo Alade directed this program and other projects we have done this year.
