EXCITEMENT AT ELEGBEKA MARKET AS GOVERNOR’S CONVOY HELD DOWN BY JUBILANT TRADERS

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, was received in Ifon on Monday, September 21, 2020 by a massive crowd who thronged the major streets in the town for the Governor’s re-election campaign rally in Ose local government.

Governor Akeredolu had earlier held a separate rally in Irekari zone of Ose local government after a closed door meeting with traditional rulers in the area.

He assured the people of Idoani, Afo, Idogun and Imeri that his administration will create Irekari Local Council Development Area (LCDA) for the four communities.

Apart from the huge crowd that attended the Irekari rally, the Governor’s campaign convoy was again held down by jubilant traders at the Elegbeka market.

At the campaign rally held at the open field of St. Paul’s Primary School, Ifon , Governor Akeredolu said his administration has succeeded in fulfilling its campaign promises to the people of the area.

He said the most important request made by the town during his electioneering campaign in 2016 was the need to have a General hospital.

The Governor said within three and a half years, his administration has seen to the construction of the best General Hospital in the state at Ifon, adding that it will be commissioned on the 3rd of October, 2020.

Akeredolu also pointed to several roads constructed by his administration in Ifon, Ute and other communities in the local government.

He expressed joy over the rousing welcome by the people, describing it as an assurance of victory.

Akeredolu assured the people of Ose local government that his administration will do more if re-elected for another term in office.

Earlier, the Olute of Ute, Oba Oluwole Akinrogbe thanked Governor Akeredolu for his giant strides in Ute community.

The monarch disclosed that since the Governor constructed the Ute road, the journey between Ute and Ifon which was taking two and a half hours, now takes less than forty minutes.

Describing Governor Akeredolu as brave and courageous, the Olute said the Governor did not need to campaign in the local government, saying his re-election is the people’s project.

The Olufon of Ifon, Oba Isreal Adegoke Adewusi said Governor Akeredolu has changed the face of Ifon.

He said the Governor constructed the new general hospital and still embarked on the construction of the hospital road without the community asking for it.

The Olufon expressed joy over the unity in the APC, stressing that with the array of political gladiators with Governor Akeredolu the forthcoming election is as good as won.

He urged the people to support Governor Akeredolu and vote for the APC in the interest of the people and overall development of the state.

The State Chairman of the Party, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, the Director-General of the campaign, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, Ambassador Sola Iji, Mr. Bukola Adetula, Chief Olayide Adelami, Hon. Apata, Tunji Abayomi Esq, Femi Adekanbi and other notable leaders of the party accompanied the Governor to the Olufon’s Palace.

Adetimehin implored the electorate in the town to continue to support the APC for the development of their community.

Engr. Adetimehin described the candidate of the APC as the most suitable and qualified among the candidates of the various political parties contesting the election.
