Akeredolu, Others Pay Tribute as Engr Akinwumi’s Father is Buried

Emure-Ile, Owo, Ondo State, was agog last weekend as dignitaries led by Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, CON attended the final burial rites of Engr. Dorcas Akinwumi’s father, Rev’d Manoah Adeniran Fabuluje (JP).

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, CON, on Saturday disclosed that his emergence as the Governor of the State was a manifestation of God’s miracle.

The Governor spoke at the funeral service for the late Rev’d Manoah Adeniran Fabuluje (JP), held at the residence of the deceased in Emure-Ile, Owo.

Late Fabuluje died at the age of 87.

He described the late Rev. Fabuluje as a focused, principled, loyal, disciplined and amiable personality.

Arakunrin Akeredolu said the late APC chieftain was a source of inspiration to those who ever crossed his path.

“The pains of his departure are enervating, especially by the exit of a loving and caring father and a dependable political leader.

“We are particularly saddened by the death of this foremost politician and a strong member of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was a committed party man. He was one of my personal admirers, a cheerful giver who always brought gifts, especially drinks, to me whenever he visited.

“He was an astute politician, humorous father, who was dedicated to God and humanity. He was an ardent progressive who remained with the progressive family till his death. His death was indeed a great loss to the APC family in Ondo state.

“It is on record that he had always worked assiduously for the success of our party in his area. He also did touch many lives with his unfeigned generosity and matchless benevolence. I, therefore, enjoin the children to take consolation in the fact that papa lived a fulfilled life, worthy of emulation”, the Governor said.

In his sermon, the Primate, the Church of the Lord, His Holiness the Most Rev. Dr. Rufus Ositeku, who was represented by the Administrator General, His Grace Archbishop David Fabusoro, used the occasion to commend the Governor for his good works across all sectors of the state.

He prayed God to continue to sustain the Governor and give him more grace and strength to do more for the development of the state.

According to him, the Governor’s sterling record of performance has stood him out among his colleagues in the country, urging him not to relent in his efforts.

Also in attendance were members of the State Executive Council from Ondo North Senatorial District; House of Representatives member representing Ose/Owo Federal Constituency, Timehin Adelegbe; Chairman, Owo Local Government Area, Samuel Adegbegi; traditional rulers; religious leaders and several other dignitaries and members of the State House of Assembly.
