Afenifere Leader, Fasoranti, Afonja Hail Presentation of Staff of Office to Iralepo of Isinkan

The Leader of Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti and a former Chief Judge of old Ondo State, Retired Justice Sydney Adeyemo Afonja have commended the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN over the recognition accorded the Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Oluwagbemiga Olofin-Adimula (Arulewolasi III), with the presentation of Instrument of Appointment and Staff of Office to him.

The elderstatesmen spoke when Iralepo paid a “Thank you” visit to them at their residences on Saturday in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Pa Fasoranti said “there is a traditional ruler in Isinkan from time immemorial who is Iralepo and have co-existed with the Akures peacefully.”

While describing the Isinkans as peace loving people, Pa Fasoranti commended the State governor for being on the side of truth and Justice.

He said the development would further enhance development of Akure south local government area.

“This development gladdens my heart. It will no doubt bring about peace, tranquility and development to us. I know for a fact that Isinkan has her own Oba who controls the community.’

He implored Oba Olofin-Adimula to always toe the path of peace and relate peacefully with other traditional rulers and elders.

Also, a former Chief Judge of old Ondo State, Retired Justice Sydney Adeyemo Afonja, said the recognition is a welcome development saying Isinkan is a community with her own traditional ruler.

He relived his experience with the late Monarch, Oba Joseph Olu OJO and urged the new Monarch to always seek development of his land and her people.

While saying truth is sacrosanct, retired Justice Afonja thanked Ondo State governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for upholding Justice.

Oba Oluwagbemiga Olofin-Adimula thanked the elderstatemen for their fatherly role and promised not to let them down.

He promised to always maintain peace in his domain and relate well with other Monarchs.

Oba Olofin-Adimula said machineries have been set in motion to ensure transformation of Isinkan land.

He sought their cooperation and advice at all times.
